For our black history week We have been learning about Ozwald Boateng. He is a fashion designer based in London. Although he was born there his family are originally from Ghana and Ghanaian culture influences his work. We learned about his life and looked at his clothes to inspire us to design our own ties in his style. Then we held a catwalk show for the whole school to show off our designing and modelling skills. The children were very brave and everyone took part. Here are their designs being expertly modeled by them.

Year 1/2, what can I say?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVED your fashion show and feel very special to have been a part of something so great at Cabot!
I have enjoyed every single day in your class, it hasn't felt like work at all because we all have so much fun and you guys do fantastic learning!
If I could box up every one of your smiles and take them with me I would, you are very special children and I will miss you all terribly! :o(
Make sure you look after Mr Ackner, be good learners, laugh at his jokes, bring him in cake and always remember "Don't worry about anyone else, worry about yourself...BOOM!"!
Mr Ackner you are a fantastic teacher and year 1/2 are so lucky to have you showing them a very vibrant path through their education, I will definitely miss your humour and your way with the kids....maybe even your times tables singing ha ha!
Farewell guys, I will be back to check how you're doing soon so be good :o)
Lots of love
